Shedding light on Amanzimtoti street light faults

Contractors will be appointed at the end of November and three will service the Southern areas.

Ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge met with the head of electricity, Maxwell Mthembu on Monday, 5 November to discuss faulty street lights in Amanzimtoti.

“The electricity department has identified 24 potential service providers to attend to faulty street lights and the supply chain management will verify their credentials. Contractors will be appointed at the end of November and three will service the Southern areas,” said Cllr Beetge.

Certain areas, such as the M4 and N2 split have received priority above ward requirements but these will receive attention in due time.
