Another Bluff Amazing Race fundraiser for PinkDrive

The Amazing Race is set to to take place on Saturday, 10 November to raise funds for this cause.

IN its ongoing bid to raise funds for the PinkDrive, a Bluff women’s fitness centre is again raising funds for PinkDrive by hosting an Amazing Race.

PinkDrive currently runs four ‘Pink’ mobile breast check units, as well as nine educational cars.

All units travel around the country’s semi-urban and urban areas to give disadvantaged communities access to diagnostic mammography screening, education, physical examinations and advice on how to do breast self-examinations.

Curves Bluff, which has held various fundraisers for breast cancer awareness over the last nine years, is keen to build on one of its most successful fundraising attempts, the Amazing Race which it hosted in 2017. It promises the 2018 event will be even bigger and better.

The Amazing Race is set to to take place on Saturday, 10 November to raise funds for this cause. They aim to raise R10,000 for breast cancer awareness and Pink Drive will also attend the event to do free screenings and breast examinations.

Hyundai Durban South has generously sponsored six drivers and vehicles for six teams to be driven around in the race. The lucky teams will be drawn on Thursday, 1 November at Hyundai Durban South. The draw will be done via Facebook Live.

Each team entered you must have four to five members, a team name and a designated driver. Book your team’s participation at Curves Bluff or online  at R100 per person.

At the start of the race, the organisers will supply the necessary clues and riddles to enable contestants to follow the route, which consists of a number of stops. Contestants then need to complete various activities and tasks at each stop.

The event’s focus is all about fun, creativity, and fundraising for Pink Drive. Winners will be determined using a point system, with prizes worth over R30,000 to be won.

All proceeds to go towards PinkDrive. Visit the Pink Drive website for details.
