Donate two litre bottles for river litter booms

Alternatively, litter booms can be crafted at home. Just ensure that you consider the width of the river you're inserting it into.

THERE has been eager offers of aid following last week’s front page article about the litter boom installed in Amanzimtoti River.

Residents who asked how they can assist are advised that two litre plastic bottles and shade cloth would be welcomed by the river warriors who are constructing the booms.

All collections can be dropped at Produce Direct in Main Road, Doonside, whereafter either Barry Walker or Shaun Callaghan will collect and use them to craft another boom, which will assist in removing more litter from local rivers and the beach environment.

Alternatively, litter booms can be crafted at home. Just ensure that you consider the width of the river you’re inserting it into.
