Isipingo pupil found with knives at school

Pupils pointed out to Alpha Alarms members that a fellow pupil, embroiled in the scuffle, had weapons hidden around.

A pupil from a primary school in Isipingo was found with two knives which were hidden. The knives were retrieved following investigations after a scuffle broke out at the school on Thursday morning, 6 September.

Isipingo SAPS and Alpha Alarms were called out to the school where it was discovered three older boys, one with a knife, had come through and one of them assaulted a pupil.

“It was revealed there was a school yard scuffle between some pupils a day or two before, where a few of them complained about the incident to their relatives. The relatives arrived at school to take up the matter unofficially. That’s when the assault on a pupil occurred,” said Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo.

The learner did not sustain any serious injuries. School officials were quick to act and managed to restrain two of the three intruders. The main perpetrator fled with the knife.
