Help set wheels in motion for wheelchair drive

The organisation is appealing to individuals and businesses to assist by donating a new or used wheelchair or by contributing towards purchasing a wheelchair.

The Organisation for Disability Empowerment (ODE) is embarking on a wheelchair drive which will promote mobility for adults and children who require wheelchairs.

The organisation, which is based in Isipingo Rail, offers free and specialised services to people with disabilities.

“In order to continue with the valuable work of the organisation, we appeal to individuals and businesses to assist us by donating a new or used wheelchair or by contributing towards purchasing a wheelchair,” said ODE’s Melanie Naidoo.

“We would like the public and businesses to partner with us so that we can meet our responsibility to uplift the lives of people living with disabilities.” For more information, call Melanie or Sophia Shaik on 083-574-7368.

Melanie Naidoo, Kaylin Naidoo and Sophia Shaik of the Organisation for Disability Empowerment appeal to the Toti public and local businesses to donate new or used wheelchairs.
