THE Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) has urged Athlone Park home owners to be on the lookout for a known burglar who was caught in the area but freed after the home owner opted not to open a case.
Committee member George Snodey said the man attempted to break into a house in Heather Road on Tuesday, 28 August, and was chased. “The CCPO, Blue Security and ET Rapid Response exhausted a lot of resources apprehending this suspect, only for the home owner to decide he didn’t want to open a case.
I wasn’t there so I’m not sure of the reason, but this suspect has obviously finished serving his term for the previous time he was arrested for housebreaking.”
