Isipingo pupil stabbed in back

It is alleged a gang of about 20 boys attacked a pupil, who sustained superficial stab wounds to his back.

An altercation between a group of pupils from a local high school and a neighbouring school pupil led to the stabbing of a boy in Isipingo Hills on Tuesday afternoon, 2 August.

According to Alpha Alarms communications officer Krishnee Naidoo, a pupil from a gang of about 20 boys was subsequently apprehended by a private security response member.

“Alert Isipingo Hills CPF members witnessed the incident and quickly relayed the message via WhatsApp crime groups. Our response team was dispatched and was met by a private security service, together with Isipingo Hills CPF members. An ambulance service also responded,” said Naidoo.

It is alleged a gang of about 20 boys attacked a pupil, who sustained superficial stab wounds to his back. The gang allegedly fled when Isipingo Hills CPF members and the private security responded.

The victim was treated and transported to the police station where he was met by his family members. The juvenile who was apprehended was transported by Isipingo Hills CPF members to Isipingo police station. A toy gun was found in his backpack. Police are investigating further.
