Enjoy a slice of SPCA’s new fundraiser

The local SPCA has announced that the cake and tea sale will become a monthly fundraiser.

SWEET treats drew crowds to the Amanzimtoti SPCA where a total of R2,097 was raised at the cake and tea sale on Saturday, 28 July.

This cake sale proved a simple and successful way to raise funds for the shelter, as well as show off the many animals in need of a forever home.

The Amanzimtoti SPCA thanked kindhearted Cherry Muir and Marlyne Grobler for planning and running the cake sale. Gratitude was extended to all who donated baked goods or showed up to support the shelter’s event.

The morning was deemed successful and in light of this, the local SPCA has announced that this will become a monthly fundraiser, the next one being on Saturday, 25 August. Those who bake along with those who enjoy baked goods are urged to jot down the date, and make sure to be there.

Aside from the cake sale, the shelter’s thrift shop saw one of the best days of sales yet, raising a whopping amount.
