Donate prizes for Jabulani senior citizens fundraiser

Prizes are urgently needed for the Jabulani Senior Citizens Residence fundraiser.

Donations of Tombola prizes, especially for children, are urgently needed for the annual Jabulani Senior Citizens Residence fundraiser on Saturday, 11 August from 10am until 2pm.

The fundraiser takes place in the hall and on the field at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre and all funds raised will be used for much-needed refurbishment of the lifts.

“We need any unwanted gifts that could be used for a Tombola stall. This is a genuine plea to assist our senior citizens of the town at Jabulani,” said fundraiser Reena Solomon. “We desperately need prizes for the Tombola and cakes, cookies or even a plate of sandwiches for the tea and coffee stall.”

Entry is free and everyone is invited to enjoy raffles and Tombola, the Warner Beach Prep school choir, DJ Fluffy, pony rides, popcorn, candy floss, boerie rolls, pancakes, pickles, jams, bric-a-brac, crafts, books and lots more.

Raffle tickets are available to purchase from the Jabulani office and at the fundraiser, at a cost of R5 a ticket. Stalls that don’t conflict with what Jabulani residents will have on sale are permitted. The cost is R100 a stall and you need to bring your own table, chairs and gazebo. Stall holders are encouraged to offer a percentage or a donation from their takings to help Jabulani’s fundraising efforts.

Local companies are also invited to promote their business at a cost of R100 a table. To book a stall or table, or for more information, call Reena on 083-448-7473.
