Pedestrian killed while crossing N2 at Umgababa

He was declared deceased on the scene.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on the N2 southbound near Umgababa just before the Shell Ultra City offramp at about 5.45pm on Wednesday evening, 18 July.

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a pedestrian collision and found a man of about 30 years of age had been struck down while crossing the freeway.

The man was assessed at the scene by a Netcare 911 paramedic, who found his injuries were fatal. He was declared deceased on the scene.

Police responded to the scene to investigate.
