Kingsway gallery to showcase legendary artist’s work

Thirty per cent of all proceeds from these sales will go to Amanzimtoti SPCA.

Amanzimtoti art lovers have a unique opportunity to honour one of the town’s legendary artists. The Art on Kingsway gallery will showcase a retrospective of the artwork of the late Beaulah van Rooyen. It will only run for two weeks this month, from 7 to 21 July, so don’t miss out.

“We have almost 100 of her works, so there is plenty of choice for all tastes. While Beulah was renowned for her flower paintings, she was a highly creative artist, constantly experimenting with new techniques, and we have many of those works for sale too,” said Brenda Pratt of Art on Kingsway.

Beulah lived in Impala Park until her death at the beginning of June. Her daughter, who lives in London, has kindly donated all of her paintings to the gallery, which is run by the Upper South Coast Art Association. She painted in all mediums but specialised in acrylics.

“She was the most amazing artist. This will be something special for art lovers to experience. We will donate 30 per cent of all proceeds from these sales to Amanzimtoti SPCA, so purchase a lifelong treasure and support a good cause,” said Brenda.

Art on Kingsway is situated at Caltex Toti Oasis at 462 Kingsway and is open from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays. For more information, call Brenda on 082-041-4914.
