Educare centre creates culture of reading

Busi promised that this was the start of long journey of promoting the culture of reading.

Promoting reading and the love of books at an early age is vital. With that in mind, Umnini library visited the Yellow Bees Educare Centre in Umnini to instil this good habit in the minds of the children.

Librarian, Busi Nyathikazi read a story to the little ones, which the children took a great interest in. “The children were pointing at pictures in the book that meant they understood what the story was about,” said Busi.

Buyani Makhanya played a game with them and shared some puzzles, which made them super excited. “The principal, Dudu Ndaba was also excited that the library came to their educare centre. She said she hoped that this was not the last time they see the library,” said Busi, who promised that this was the start of long journey of promoting the culture of reading.
