Catch UMPAC’s whacky theatre show this weekend

'Genderlicious/Gendervicious' (Battle of the Sexes) will be on show from this Friday, 22 June for two consecutive weekends.

THE Umkomaas Performing Arts Company (UMPAC) stages its annual fundraiser, themed ‘Genderlicious/Gendervicious’ (Battle of the Sexes) from this Friday, 22 June for two consecutive weekends.

The show promises to offer a healthy laugh, all in the name of a great cause.

“UMPAC began in 1982 as a fundraiser for Umkomaas Primary School,” said director Naomi Davidson. “In 2017 the UMPAC became an independent dramatics company which is now known as the Umkomaas Performing Arts Company.”

Davidson explained that this year’s battle of the sexes-themed show promises to be highly entertaining, with a cast of 17 talented, slightly whacky-brave people presenting humorous, sometimes outrageous skits and mimes. In the show musical talents are exhibited through delightful dance and song.

Tickets for the evening shows are R100 and evenings are Friday, 22 June, Saturday, 23 June, Friday 29 June and Saturday, 30 June. Those attending are urged to arrive at 7pm for 8pm.

Tickets for Sunday, 24 June matinee are R70 and those attending should arrive at 1pm for 2pm.
To book tickets, contact Kisten on 082-564-0224 or Rod on 082-496-3927.
