Help Toti ice hockey players reach upcoming tourney

The players are desperately trying to source sponsorship or donations to cover costs.

Four Amanzimtoti ice hockey players have been selected to play in an upcoming tournament in Johannesburg. Paige Chivers, Erin Minnie and Makayla Moolman have been selected as part of a coastal U18 girls’ development team, while Matthew Moolman made the cut for the boys U16 team.

All the players play for the DurbaKnights Ice Hockey club that trains and plays at the Galleria Ice Rink on Sunday mornings. The Toti skaters will be in action at the Festival Mall Ice Rink in Kempton Park from Sunday to Tuesday, 24 to 26 June.

“The players are desperately trying to source sponsorship or donations to cover costs to attend the tournaments,” said DurbaKnights chairman, Michelle Murphy. To raise funds, the club is running a raffle. Tickets only cost R30 each and there are some amazing prizes, including a Sony PS4. To purchase tickets, call Michelle on 072-237-3114.
