JUST IN: Man shot dead in Prospecton

It is understood that nothing was stolen, indicating it may have been a planned hit.

A man was shot dead in Prospecton this morning (Friday, 1 June) at about 8.45am.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the shooting, which took place at a factory site in Stroude Place, Prospecton.

However the man had succumbed to gunshot wounds he sustained to the upper torso. He was assessed by another paramedic service and was declared deceased at the scene.

Police cordoned off the scene to investigate. It is understood that nothing was stolen, indicating it may have been a planned hit.
