Easter holiday fun to descend on Sapphire Coast beaches

The Easter holiday campaign will see an array of fun activities planned for the upcoming long weekend, to ensure both locals and holidaymakers have warm memories of the weekend's festivities.

SAPPHIRE Coast Tourism will ensure the Easter holidays are as festive as can be along this gem of a coastline.

The Easter holiday campaign will see an array of fun activities planned for the upcoming long weekend, to ensure both locals and holidaymakers have warm memories of the weekend’s festivities.

Beach games including volleyball, touch rugby, flags, soccer, tug-of-war and sandcastle building are some of the many activities taking place in the sand.

Other activities such as hoola hooping, karaoke, face painting, sack racing and ‘Easter games’ including an Easter egg hunt and treasure hunt, egg painting, egg-throwing and an egg-spoon race will entertain those who aren’t as keen to dig their toes in the sand.

“Funland will provide the mobile ten-pin lane on Saturday, 31 March and Monday, 2 April, while also handing out vouchers,” said Sapphire Coast Tourism chairman, Romy Wenzel.

“Furthermore, Happy Drums will host drumming lessons on all three days, alternating at Amanzimtoti Main Beach and Winklespruit Beach. The drumming lessons are planned to take place at Winklespruit Beach on Saturday and Monday, and at Amanzimtoti on Sunday.”

Aliwal Shoal Scuba Diving will on Saturday from 10am until 2pm offer a dive presentation at the Inyoni Rockpool.
Confirmed sponsors that have assisted in making the programme possible include Thirsty Whale/Splash Waterworld, Debonairs, KFC, Illovo Nursery, Lords and Legends, Tiago’s, Go Bananaz, Funland/Dolphin Bowl, Happy Days Holiday Flats, Aliwal Shoal Scuba and Gary’s Horses.
