Amanzimtoti’s child welfare social workers lauded in Social Workers Month

With this being Social Workers Month, we commend all our loyal and dedicated social workers who go beyond the call of duty.

Kingsburgh and Amanzimtoti Child and Family Welfare Societies joined forces to celebrate Social Workers Month in March.

“Kingsburgh and Amanzimtoti Child and Family Welfare Societies are registered child protection agencies and our core function is the protection of children,” said chairman of Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare, Jenny Smith. “We both have professional, qualified social workers who render therapeutic intervention services.

With this being Social Workers Month, we commend all our loyal and dedicated social workers who go beyond the call of duty to ensure children in their designated areas of operation are safe. It takes a person with special qualities to be a social worker – compassion and empathy are the core characteristics of a social worker.

Amanzimtoti social workers expressed their heartfelt thanks to their respective boards of management, volunteers, sponsors, funders, networking partners and the community at large for their support and assistance.
