Amanzimtoti burglars cuffed by CCPO

It was found they had allegedly broken a lock off and stolen the items from inside.

Two housebreakers were nabbed with stolen property by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) on Wednesday, 28 February.

CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane and his crewman Mbambo Nhlanhla were parked near Storage City in Fynn Road when they saw two men carrying garden and other tools, heading out of the area at about noon.

“They stopped and questioned them,” said CCPO committee member, George Snodey. It resulted in them being taken back to a municipal storeroom near The Gardens. “It was found they had allegedly broken a lock off and stolen the items from inside. They were arrested and taken to Toti SAPS where they were charged and detained.”

The CCPO found a lawnmower in Rosslyn Road, Amanzimtoti. If you are missing yours from around that area, it has been handed in at Toti SAPS. “You will be required to open a case, as the CCPO has identified a suspect,” said Snodey.
