School on board as animal shelter water drive drop-off point

Get your companies, friends and family involved, so that we can hopefully collect even more water this time.

Amanzimtoti residents who would like to contribute to the water drive for the Cape’s drought-stricken animals can drop off their donations at Amanzimtoti High School.

The local school has come on board to offer its premises as a collection and storage point for local donations.

Donations from Scottburgh will be delivered to the school and the combined effort will then be transported to Durban and Johannesburg to join the rest of the Cape Town Water Drive For Animal Shelters.

Local co-ordinator, Pat McMillan said residents can drop off their water at the school from 7.30am to 3pm. The cut-off will be at 3pm on Friday, 16 February.

“Get your companies, friends and family involved, so that we can hopefully collect even more water this time. The truck will collect the water on Monday morning, 19 February and we are looking for volunteers to help load it,” she said. If you would like to help, get to the school at 8am.
