Amanzimtoti Round Table needs aid to move clubhouse to permanent base

Our target is R35,000, which will cover the entire cost for Table to move.

A local community service organisation needs assistance from the Toti public.
For the second time in the past two years Amanzimtoti 85 Round Table needs to relocate its clubhouse.

“Amanzimtoti Sports Centre at Hutchison Park has graciously offered to provide us with a plot of land as a permanent home for our clubhouse but costs are high and we need the public’s help to make this move possible,” said Amanzimtoti Round Table president, Vincent Tutt.

“The pre-fab clubhouse building was graciously donated to us by Marty Lodetti of M-Projects about 10 years ago when Toti 85 RT was left homeless after several break-ins effectively destroyed the clubhouse we were utilising at the time.”

Toti 85 is one of many Round Tables both nationally and internationally that strives for the betterment of the community and the development of young men within its community.

Members of the Toti community will recall a number of projects Toti 85 has done over the past few years. These include ‘Jannine’s wheels’, where members campaigned to raise money for Jannine, a woman who was involved in a terrible bike accident and lost her only means of income, her transport. Through the efforts of Toti 85 and the community, they were able to raise enough funding to provide Jannine with a new bike and get her back on her way.

Toti 85 also assisted Pevensey Place to get its residents to the beach, a Sani 152 Round Table initiative which brought 76 cerebral palsy patients from their care home in Underberg to the coast and assisted each patient to have a holiday and more importantly, swim in the sea. The Tablers also arranged accommodation and food for the patients.

“These are just two of the amazing projects Round Table has done in the community and we can do more on a larger scale but today Round Table Toti 85 is asking you for help,” said Vincent.
