Brave Dulux recovers from gunshot wound

Dulux will be visiting the parlour this week as his wounds are healed enough to do so, and he will receive the pampering he deserves.

Dulux, the pooch who was surrendered to the Amanzimtoti SPCA on Tuesday, 2 January with terribly matted fur and a gunshot wound to his paw is on the road to recovery with the love and treatment he is receiving.

The local shelter thanks the community who generously came to Dulux’s aid in the time of need.

A day after arriving at the local shelter, Dulux – who resembles the fluffy pooch linked with the painting company – underwent surgery and had all the bullet fragments removed from his paw.

“He is still in a bit of pain and has quite a way to go, but he is a brave boy,” said Amanzimtoti SPCA volunteer, Stacey Wall.

“We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful donations for Dulux, so from the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you for the generous donations,” said Stacey, on behalf of the SPCA.
