In light of the disappearance of a 20-year-old Durban North woman, Siam Lee, people are urged to be on the lookout and also to exercise caution in terms of their children’s safety.
Siam was last seen on Margaret Maytom Avenue in Durban North on Thursday, 4 January.

Police seek assistance in Siam Lee’s disappearance
The Pink Ladies Organisation for Missing Children assists in co-ordinating with police to launch and widen search efforts for children who go missing across the country. The non-profit organisation’s website lists these worthwhile tips on how to keep your children safe:
- Be involved with your kids.
- Know their friends and who they hang out with.
- Do not allow them to be without adult supervision unless proven safe.
- Be on guard for behavioural changes which may indicate drug abuse.
- Look for physical signs of abuse.
- Educate them on the dangers online and in real life.
- Know your community, and most importantly
- Love your children.
Pink Ladies advises anyone whose child has gone missing to report the matter to their nearest police station urgently.
The Pink Ladies’ assistance can also be requested. To do this, once the disappearance has been reported to the SAPS and the complainant has obtained a reference or ‘OB’ number, they can also download a missing report form from the Pink Ladies website or request, complete and return a missing report form by email at missing@pinkladies.org.za or via Whatsapp on 072-214-7439.
