Warnadoone Lifesaving Club’s Boxing Day beer run to test athlete’s unusual skills

The race will kick off at 5pm with all competitors tackling a mile-long stretch of beach where they'll be required to stop at marked points and down a beer or cider.

THOSE capable of simultaneously drinking a lot of beer and running a far distance are challenged to put their unusual talents to the test by participating in Warnadoone Lifesaving Club’s annual Beer Run on Tuesday, 26 December.

The iconic event has proven a good laugh and a lot of fun over the years.

The race will kick off at 5pm with all competitors tackling a mile-long stretch of beach where they’ll be required to stop at marked points and down a beer or cider. The event requires a R60 entrance if you’re a beer drinker and R80 if your preference is ciders.

The beer run will take place at Warnadoone Beach, near the lifesaving club situated at 1 Dick King Place. Registration will take place at the club from 4pm on the day.
