THE iconic hoot bridge of Warner Beach has received not only its coat of sapphire blue paint but a clean-up and cut-back too.
Good Samaritans from all sectors of the community contributed in their own way towards the transformation of the once tired-looking bridge into a work of art.

While Sapphire Coast Tourism initiated the ‘paint the town blue’ project, where bridges and walls throughout the Sapphire Coast will be given a fresh coat of paint, these projects cannot be completed without the community’s input and efforts.
People, organisations and companies that are owed thanks for the hoot bridge transformation include Jan Pauw, George Smith of Cherry Pickers KZN who sponsored a cherry picker to aid the cutting back, Neill Fabricius from Green Intentions, Auto Rust Control and Sapphire Coast Tourism.

The next and final task is to touch up the Sapphire Coast Tourism logo and repaint the iconic ‘hoot’ sign that carries a story of its own.
