Dead Isipingo robber’s accomplices strip him of belongings

Witnesses alleged that his accomplices returned and gathered around the body, taking his gun, emptying his pockets and fleeing with his shoes.

A robber’s accomplices stripped him of his gun and belongings after he was fatally shot during an armed robbery in the Isipingo CBD on Friday evening, 24 November.

According to Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo, a business owner was shot when a gang of men robbed him of his bag, which they dropped after shooting him.

It is unclear who shot the robber dead, and clarity has been sought and is awaited from Isipingo SAPS.

One of the robbers was shot dead but before the other suspects fled the scene, witnesses alleged that his accomplices returned and gathered around the body, taking his gun, emptying his pockets and fleeing with his shoes.

The injured businessman is stable in hospital and police are investigating the matter.
