Adventure cyclist to host golf day for Khanya Hospice

His mission is to create an awareness and raise much-needed funds for the palliative care provider.

An adventure cyclist is arranging a fundraiser golf day at Kloof Country Club onon Friday, 24 November in aid of Khanya Hospice.

Ron Joubert (known as the stray dog) of Hillcrest, is a great supporter of the Umkomaas-based Hospice.

The accomplished adventure cyclist toured Australia on his own a year ago. He is currently planning to tour parts of the United States of America solo next year and will fundraise for Hospice at the same time. His mission is to create an awareness and raise much-needed funds for the palliative care provider.

“Neil and his staff dedicate their lives in support of terminally ill patients in and around our communities and I feel this way, I am able to help them,” said Rob.

Hospice is not government-funded and rely on businesses and individual people to financially support the work they do, which is offer free palliative nursing care to people with life-threatening diseases.
