Twini Hill taxi crash leaves 12 injured

Patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Twelve people were left injured when a taxi crashed into roadside barriers along the N2 at Twini Hill on Friday afternoon, 10 November.

ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring said paramedics found several patients walking around on the scene and one trapped inside the taxi, which was found against the barriers.

Rescue services extricated the patient from the taxi, while paramedics assessed the patients, who had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The patients were treated and transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
