UPDATE: Six-month-old baby among injured in Amanzimtoti as overloaded bakkie rolls

A baby of about six-months and an elderly man both sustained serious injuries

Two people were left in a critical condition after a bakkie transporting 21 people rolled on the N2 south near the Adams Road off-ramp on Saturday morning, 4 November.

Among the injured when paramedics responded just before noon on Saturday were a baby of about six-months and an elderly man, who both sustained serious injuries.

 

Some of the passengers were lying in the slow and emergency lanes of the N2. Nineteen more people sustained moderate to minor injuries.

ER24 paramedics transported three of the injured to hospital. Police will investigate the cause of the accident.
