Amanzimtoti business held up

The men assaulted staff members and robbed them of a set of car keys, a cellphone and cash.

Armed robbers assaulted and robbed staff at a business premises in Amanzimtoti on Friday night, 21 October.

Blue Security community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios said five armed men walked into the premises in Riverside Road and held up staff at gunpoint at about 11.50pm.

“The men assaulted staff members and robbed them of a set of car keys, a cellphone and R6,000 in cash. Staff members sustained head injuries and were treated at the scene by ER24 paramedics,” said Mathios.

Amanzimtoti SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
