Swarming bees sting 20 Amanzimtoti school children

The children were aged between two and six years old

Some 20 children were injured this afternoon (Monday, 16 October) when they were stung by numerous bees at an Amanzimtoti school.

ER24 paramedics arrived at about 3.10pm and were led into the school hall to the awaiting children.

On assessment, paramedics found 20 children aged between two and six, had sustained bee stings.

Paramedics from ER24 assessed them and assisted by removing the stings. Fortunately, none of the children require hospitalisation.

The children were left in the care of the teachers.
