A total of R12,000 was raised and donated to the Zululand Hospice and a Mtubatuba care centre.

The event called ‘The let’s remember event’ was held at Umfolozi Country Club and organised by Mtubatuba resident Charmaine Goncalves. The resident has grown increasingly concerned about the number of lives cancer not only affects but claims each year.

Warner Beach’s Gus Brown Band comprises of locals Nick and Dale Vickery, Gavin Welsh, Brett Kenton and James Harris.

“My sincere thanks to the band for travelling to Zululand to perform at our fundraiser,” said Charmaine. “The band generously donated half their profit back to the fundraiser, enabling us to raise R12,000 on the night.”
