Add your aid to farmers’ drought relief effort

We hope to get some support from locals to add to our donation.

An Umkomaas company is co-ordinating a drought relief programme for the farmers in the Northern Cape.

“We are donating R15,000, 10,000 litres of water in 5l bottles and animal feed,” said Clinton Torley of the East Coast Brewing Company.

“We are also doing a raffle to raise additional funds and the prize is beer for a year.” Tickets cost R100 a ticket and all proceeds go to the farmers.

“We will leave in convoy with our trucks for the Northern Cape on Tuesday, 10 October and return on Sunday, 15 October.

We hope to get some support from locals to add to our donation. Residents can leave 5-litre bottles of water at the following drop-off points: Warners Angling Club, Saverite in Pennington and Sebastian’s in Umkomaas.
