The welfare office appeals for any pre-loved items

KINGSBURGH Child and Family Welfare is a non-governmental organisation, which means it is not government funded.

The welfare team offers free advice, counselling and practical hands-on courses on a variety of social problems.

These programmes are dependent on their available funds. To help with their day-to-day costs, a charity shop is operated from its premises where friendly volunteers are on hand to assist, as is the social worker for confidential help and assistance.

The welfare office appeals for any pre-loved items such as clothing, shoes, bedding or household goods. Transport can be arranged if their hours are not suitable for drop offs. Plastic packets are always needed, as are black dustbin bags.

The office is in Hall Road, next to Kingsburgh library (opposite Warner Beach station). It is open from 8am to noon, Monday to Friday. Call 031-916-2274 and after hours, call Jenny on 031-916-2362.
