Amanzimtoti gets call-up for international coastal clean-up efforts

If everyone just fills one bag, even a small one, it will make a difference.

Amanzimtoti Conservancy is once again co-ordinating efforts that form part of the local International Coastal Clean-Up Week, which takes place from 13 to 18 September.

“Schools and other associations will be sent registration forms, and we hope to be able to supply groups with plastic bags and water for the clean-up,” said chairman, Angus Pyke.

“Members of the public can also get involved in cleaning our beaches and the streets around our homes and businesses. If everyone just fills one bag, even a small one, it will make a difference and if it is done regularly, we can have a clean town.”
