Spring into action for #springdayphotochallenge

Cllr Andre Beetge challenges the community to a Spring Day photo competition with a prize for the winner.

NOT only are we blessed with a lovely climate, but arguably the most beautiful coastal stretch within the entire Ethekwini.

Cllr Andre Beetge challenges the community to record the loveliest scene they can find for a Spring photo contest, with a prize for the lucky winner.

“This Friday, 1 September marks the start of Spring and the beginning of new life within nature,” said Cllr Beetge. “In celebration of the new season and all it holds, I challenge the public to take and submit a photograph taken on Spring Day, that ultimately manifests the season.”

Photographs are to be submitted via the South Coast Sun Facebook page (preferably) or emailed to hollyk@dbn.caxton.co.za. Entries must include details of where the photo was taken.

“The winner will be hosted by me, for an uninterrupted breakfast at the most colourful place that I can find in our area,” said Cllr Beetge.

He will select the winner on Wednesday morning, 6 September and urges entrants to submit their entries promptly.

The winner’s name and photograph will appear in next week’s edition of the South Coast Sun.
