Classic car show win sees Toti woman take flight of fancy

The SCCS is very grateful to Lance Poynter for donating the flight in his rare Tigermoth as a unique prize at the show.

AFTER a very successful charity Scottburgh Classic Car Show (SCCS) last month at Scottburgh High School, the winner of one of the two flights in a light aircraft was taken aloft.

Sara Sutherland of Amanzimtoti climbed into the cockpit of Lance Poynter’s 1946 de Havilland Tigermoth and flew along the coast. On their return to the Scottburgh airfield, Sara was so elated that Lance kindly took her husband, Sidney up for a flip too.

The SCCS is very grateful to Lance Poynter for donating the flight in his rare Tigermoth as an unique prize at the show. Next year’s SCCS has already been scheduled for Sunday, 8 July 2018 so pencil it into your new diary. It will again be sponsored by the Rising Sun community newspaper.
