Toti 85 stalwart Tabler welcomed back at induction

Kevin won the prestigious Tabler of the Year award in 2009.

Round Table Amanzimtoti 85 is glad to welcome back Kevin Fleiner, a Toti 85 stalwart Tabler who served from 2006 to 2010.

The induction took place on the weekend of 21 July during Round Table’s tri-area conference, a KwaZulu-Natal conference that draws Tablers from KZN, Gauteng, Drakensberg, Free State and other regions and is used as an opportunity to promote the deep-rooted bonds of fellowship and brotherhood between members of the organisation.

“Kevin’s distinguished career has done much to advance the ideals of Table within our great community,” said Amanzimtoti Round Table president, Vincent Tutt.

“During his time serving in Table, Kevin executed the position of South Coast area treasurer with great honour and he held a number of portfolios within Toti 85.”

Kevin won the prestigious Tabler of the Year award in 2009 for his efforts in convening the Birchwood children’s project. This was an initiative focused on giving a number of underprivileged children a weekend away at the Birchwood Hotel in Benoni.

Kevin successfully secured donations for food, accommodation and transportation for the children that year.

When he re-joined Toti 85 earlier this year, he wasted no time in hitting the ground running with a few of his ideas and successful projects. This included Jannine’s bike project, in which Toti 85 under Kevin’s guidance, raised R9,000 to provide a second-hand motorbike to a Toti local who was involved in a T-bone collision with a taxi which rendered her without transport.

Gigi Fleiner, Kevin’s proud wife, commented on the effect Table has had on her husband: “Kevin’s early Table career was a lot about discovery – discovering how to serve, be humble, read people, manage time, run a business meeting, take advice and use it properly, give selflessly, network, work in a team where opinions always differed, and rally together whenever there was a need.

“All these experiences not only gave Kevin lifelong friends and connections that will be relevant for the foreseeable future, but they also had a hand in shaping him as a father, business owner, husband and man – all for the better,” said Gigi.

“Amanzimtoti Round Table 85 is proud to have a Tabler of Kevin’s calibre back in its ranks and we look forward to a few years of great and productive Tabling together,” concluded Vincent.
