Umkomaas couple bequeath home to Hospice

This is what they would like to do, to see the work of Hospice carrying on even if they are not there anymore.

An Umkomaas couple have bequeathed their home to Khanya Hospice.

On Monday, 24 July the Hospice’s spirits were lifted when Jan Schalkwyk and his wife Louise called CEO Neil McDonald.

“They feel this is what they would like to do, to see the work of Hospice carrying on even if they are not there anymore,” said Neil.

“They told their friends and family and announced their bequest in front of about 50 people at Waves Restaurant. They arranged for their will to be drawn up and make the necessary arrangements, so after both have died, their house will go to Khanya Hospice.
