Holiday fun warms Sapphire Coast beaches

It was great fun for the whole family.

Sapphire Coast Tourism (SCT) installed new volleyball nets at Winkle Beach, Warnadoone and Baggies Beach to add to the festivities of the July school holidays.

SCT also organised a DJ for the following beaches: Amanzimtoti and Winkle (1 and 2 July), Amanzimtoti Main Beach (8 and 9 July), Baggies Beach (8 July), Winklespruit Beach (9 July), and Winkle and Amanzimtoti on Saturday, 15 July.

“There was live music, games such as tug-o-war, volleyball competitions and singing competitions. It was great fun for the whole family,” said SCT chairman, Monique Botha.

“We had loads of give-aways including KFC frisbees, bucket and spades sets, SCT-branded T-shirts and vouchers from Funland Dolphin Bowl, Amanzimtoti Brewery Company, Spur Amanzimtoti, Lords and Legends, Splash Waterworld and Thirsty Whale.

Beach goers try their hand at tenpin bowling.

One of the highlights of the holidays was when Dolphin Bowl set up a mobile tenpin lane at Amanzimtoti main beach on Saturday, 15 July. It was great fun for everyone and many holidaymakers and locals enjoyed it.”
