Positive end to Isipingo Rail attempted robbery

The would-be thief was offered a job when he attempted to steal building materials from a site on Old Main Road.

A thief was given a chance to redeem himself after he was caught in the act by response officers in Isipingo Rail on Wednesday morning, 19 July.

According to Alpha Alarms communications officer, Krishnee Naidoo, the would-be thief was offered a job when he attempted to steal building materials from a site on Old Main Road.

“We were informed of the suspect on site and after responding, the response officer nabbed the suspect red-handed,” she said.

The relevant authorities were contacted and SAPS responded.

“A mutual decision was reached by the business personnel and the authorities to provide the perpetrator with a job, as he appeared remorseful and was enthusiastic to work.

Our response officer checked up on the man during the course of the day and reported that he was still hard at work.”
