UPDATE: Fatal Winklespruit robot shooters used high calibre weapon

The shooting is believed to be either a result of taxi wars or whoonga wars.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot dead at the Winklespruit robots on Wednesday, 19 July.

An unknown number of gunmen opened fire on the man with a high calibre weapon before the gunmen drove off.

He was shot four times.

A Voluntary Emergency Medical Assistance (VEMA) paramedic and ER24 paramedics declared the man dead on scene. The shooting is believed to be either a result of taxi wars or whoonga wars.
