Hospice starts grief support group in Scottburgh

The first group session will be held on Thursday, 20 July at 11am.

After numerous requests and identifying the need, Khanya Hospice is starting a bereavement support group in Scottburgh.

“This will happen with the kind help of the parish of St Paul’s Church in Scottburgh who have kindly allowed us use of their hall,” said Hospice CEO, Neil McDonald.

The first group session will be held on Thursday, 20 July at 11am in the hall next to St Paul’s Church. There is no entry fee, and tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

“We invite people to attend who feel they need to come and listen and will benefit from this meeting,” said Neil. “We have the expertise of a long-time Hospice volunteer, Louis Geen.

After the death of a loved one, people often end up with lots of unanswered questions. As we have limited space, it would be advisable that people should phone and book.”
