Celebrate Mandela Day with Winkle Beach clean-up
To celebrate Mandela Day, Sea Shepherd urges the public to spend 67 minutes cleaning their local beach.
SEA Shepherd urges the public to join the Mandela Day beach clean-up, to improve both the living conditions for marine life and the state of the local beach strip.
The clean-up will start from Winklespruit Beach this Sunday morning, 16 July.
Sea Shepherd is an international direct-action ocean conservation organisation. It fights tirelessly to defend, conserve and protect the ocean. By using direct action, the conservancy organisation defends marine wildlife and protects their habitat. Its conservation actions aim to safeguard the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced marine ecosystems.
Mandela Day 2017 officially on Tuesday, 18 July is the perfect chance for the community to get out and do their good deed. In honour of Mandela Day, spend 67 minutes cleaning your local beach.
Sea Shepherd urges the public to join in and help clean the stretch, beginning at Winkle Beach at 10am until approximately 11am. Plastic bags will be provided, all that needs to be brought along are gloves and a good attitude.
