Motorists urged to be cautious of objects on N2

Three cars were forced to pull over after hitting the stone.

Motorists are advised to be on the lookout for objects placed on the N2 highway.

On Tuesday, 27 June local motorists complained about a large stone on the N2 north just after the Higginson Highway bridge.

Three cars were forced to pull over after hitting the stone.

On Saturday, 24 June another local said they were driving from Amanzimtoti to Umhlanga when they hit an object near the old airport and suffered a blow-out.

“As I was replacing the tyre, I could see three other vehicles with the same issue.

“This could be a potential hijacking set-up. I pulled off at exit 154 to replace my tyre with a spare and saw two suspicious-looking men hanging around,” said the unnamed motorist on a traffic social media page.
