Local yogis Dominic Combrink and Demi Mason spend their morning at the Yoga Day fundraiser in aid of the Amanzimtoti SPCA, held on Saturday, 24 June at the St Winifreds Methodist Church.

“Roughly 60 people joined us for the yoga fundraising morning at the St Winifreds Methodist Church on Saturday,” said local yoga teacher Laura Konig. “Many travelled from Durban and Pietermaritzburg, however a lot of locals also showed up to support the cause.”

With the entrance fee, together with funds raised for the raffle and through the sale of books, they reached a total of R7,350.

“This morning couldn’t have been possible without the St Winifreds Methodist Church and their amazing minister, Peter Butterworth,” explained Laura. “The church hall was donated that morning and all cleaning up afterwards was taken care of. We are grateful for the care the church showed towards the event.”

Laura thanked her fellow yoga instructors, Pam Cochrane and Ria Kock, together with all those who attended the morning or donated money towards the SPCA.
