Want to volunteer for the most rewarding and important job of all? Apply to become a puppy foster!

The Freedom Ride Powerbreed Rescue (FRPR) organisation appeals to animal lovers to foster puppies or larger dogs.

“We get litters in from time to time,” said Karen Wadsworth Borain. “They need warm and loving homes to care of them before they head off to their fur-ever homes.”

FRPR does stipulate that all foster owners must reside in Durban and surrounds only.

If you see yourself as a potential foster owner, send the word FOSTER with your name, the area you live in and contact details to 083-631-4147 or inbox on the Freedom Ride Powerbreed Rescue Facebook page.

“Fosters have to comply with a home check and the pup will need someone who will keep them safe,” explained Karen. “They are usually too little to be left alone all day.”

Fosters are also needed from time to time for adult dogs who don’t cope in a kennel environment. Follow the Facebook page and keep up to date with FRPR’s amazing work.
