Amanzimtoti pedestrian crash leaves one dead

The man had been running across the highway when he was struck by a taxi

A pedestrian was killed on the N2 northbound carriageway near Galleria Mall at about 5.20pm on Sunday afternoon, 11 June.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the collision, in which a 46-year-old man who had been running across the highway when he was struck by a taxi.

Paramedics found the man lying on the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was examined and found to have already died before their arrival.
