The public is invited to an awareness campaign at Kwandonga hall in Fakazi on Thursday, 22 June.
Co-ordinator, Thembinkosi Ndokweni who has been working with drug addicts since 2012, said his goal is to eventually open a drug rehabilitation centre in the area.
“We will deal with four main issues,” he said. “There will be free health check-ups for community members to check blood pressure, diabetes and so on. The local schools have been invited and we will have speakers to address them. There will be a celebration of Youth Day and we will address the latest increase in the murders of young women.”
