Start your day with these healthy snacks

Here are 5 healthy breakfast ideas, they're a lot of fun to make too!

Starting your day off the healthy way not only benefits your mind and body, but can be a lot of fun too.

Here are 5 healthy breakfast ideas, they’re a lot of fun to make too!

1. Nut butter toast with fruit
This recipe has endless combination options. An all time favourite is peanut butter, sliced bananas and chia seeds sprinkled on top. You could also add some shredded coconut or a handful of goji berries.

2. Avocado toast
Simple, delicious and satisfying. Even the busiest person has time to make themselves avocado toast. Add a topping of your favourite spices or sauces to jazz up your breakfast.

3. Peanut banana smoothie
This recipe calls for just three ingredients: dairy or nondairy milk, peanut butter and a banana. If you want a bit more protein, add all the ingredients in a blender with a scoop of protein powder, blend, and sip. A dash of cinnamon or a handful of muesli will make it a divine breakfast.

4. Hard boiled eggs and avocado
Hard to believe this hasn’t always been our go-to breakfast because it’s so simple. Toss a couple hard boiled eggs into a bowl with some sliced avocado, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.

5. Chia pudding
Combine the chia seeds, honey and coconut milk in a glass and refrigerate overnight and have a filling, sweet meal the next day. Top with nuts and/or fresh fruit for the easiest and (maybe fastest) breakfast ever.
