Amanzimtoti pupil to star in short film

The hardworking pupil also just released his debut gospel track, 'Hold On'.

AMANZIMTOTI Primary’s very own star, Ethan Abrahamse (10) continues to make waves, both in front of the cameras and on stage.

Young Ethan was not only cast in a nine part short film, ‘Innovation of Loneliness’ which will be performed at a film festival next year, but the hardworking pupil has also just released his debut gospel track, ‘Hold On’ through October Sun Productions.

Ethan Abrahamse will be playing ‘Timmy’ in the nine-part programme, Innovation of Loneliness.

Ethan’s acting, which often involves protracted rehearsal sessions that last several months – such as his stint in last year’s Sound of Music, never interferes with his education. He ensures there is no adverse effect on his school work.

The multi-talented youngster has several upcoming events to look forward to. Apart from performing at the Highland Gathering at Hutchison Park at the weekend, he will also come under the beady eyes of international scouts at next month’s Msansi Art Showcase.

The Amanzimtoti Primary pupil loves singing and acting, as he feels comfortable on the stage and in front of the camera.

October will see Ethan scouted at the International Arts Talent Showcase where he stands the chance to go on and represent South Africa in Disneyland, Florida next year.

Ethan has also been cast in the Playhouse’s ‘A comedy by Shakespeare’.
